#1 Astragalus Tea
Ingredients:
10g dried astragalus root slices
1g red tea leaves or 1 red tea bag
500ml water
Directions:
Add the slices or powder to water and bring to a boil in a small saucepan. Let it boil for about 5 minutes.
Remove the slices from the water or strain the water.
Place the tea bag in a cup and pour the astragalus water into the cup. Steep the tea bag for a couple of minutes.
Pour the astragalus tea in a thermal flask and sip it slowly throughout the day.

#2 Green and Shiitake Mushrooms
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons peanut oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 teaspoons finely grated fresh ginger
100g fresh shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 bunch baby pak choy, trimmed, leaves separated, stems cut from leaves
1 bunch baby bok choy, trimmed
1 x 425g can baby corn spears, drained
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
Directions:
Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds or until aromatic.
Add the mushroom and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the pak choy stems and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the pak choy leaves, buk choy, corn, oyster sauce and soy sauce. Toss to combine.
Add the water and reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 2 minutes or until the vegetables are just tender. Serve.

#3 Black Chicken Soup with Ginseng
Ingredients:
1 small back chicken, washed and cleaned, chopped into big chucks
10g American ginseng
10 Chinese red dates, washed
2 slices old ginger
2 tsp salt
Directions:
Heat up double boiler or slow cooker and place all ingredients in the pot and add enough water to cover the ingredients.
Double boil soup for 2 ½ hours. Serve.
#4 Herbal Agar Agar
Ingredients:
Dang Shen 15g
Dang Gui slices 15g
Red dates 15g
Wolfberry 15g
Low calorie sweetener (e.g. Equal) 15g
Agar agar powder 10g
Longan 1 can
Water 1L
Directions:
Add water and the herbs (dang shen, dang gui, red dates and wolfberry) into a pot.
steam the herbal mixture for 3 hours.
When it is ready, set aside the herbal stock by straining the mixture.
Add the herbal stock, sweetener, agar agar powder in a pot and bring to boil.
Pour the mixture into the agar agar mould and add in the wolfberry and longan.
Let it set and it is ready to be served chilled.

#5 Super C Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 oranges, peeled
2 large, organic carrots, chopped
½ to 1 inch ginger to taste
1-2 splashes of water
Ice to chill if desired
Direction:
Squeeze one orange into blender and blend.
Add the rest of ingredients and blend. Serve chill.
